GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified, that in compliance with Instructions from the Right Honourable The Secretary of State for the Colonies, the Duty of Two-and-a-half per Centum hitherto levied on goods sold by Public Auction has been abolished from this date, and that henceforth, by Order of His Excellency The Governor in Council, Auction Licenses will be granted to Applicants on an annual Fee of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars being paid into the Colonial Treasury, Quarterly and in Advance.
